Welcome to MME and the Advanced Magnetic Research Institute of NW Ohio

Welcome to MME and our website.  MME is likely new to you, just as it was to me in August '03.  I wanted more information, just as you do now.  The purpose of this website is to give you information.  Everything that I know and everything that I am going to learn about MME will be discussed.  I will present the facts, and I will present theory, and this is all going to evolve over time.  MME is going to change the way we practice medicine, but first we need to get the word out.  MME may certainly have a beneficial affect on the health disorder that plagues you, but first we need to educate you as to what MME can do, and what MME cannot do.  Educating patients and physicians about a new treatment modality or concept requires openness, honesty, and strict attention to detail.  This approach worked well when we became the 22nd US EECP center in 1997, and this will be our approach as we become the 6th MME program in the US.

The Outcomes section will contain detailed case histories of every cardiovascular patient treated during our first year.  If we have a success, we want you to know about it.  If we have a failure, you need to know about it, and we need to analyze what went wrong or what didn't go right.  I won't present every non-cardiovascular outcome, as we would run out of space and I would run out of time, but cases of interest or cases that illustrate a principle will be presented.  In discussing these cases, I will try to teach you a little about the disease state in question and how we approach it with MME.  Interesting outcomes from the other MME center will also be presented.

The Fact Sheet section gives you an overview of MME and how it works, at both at the molecular and biological levels.  Conditions which may be treated with MME are reviewed, the procedure is described, and issues such as cost, treatment duration, and regulatory status are covered.  I get into more detail on the theory and practice of negative field magnetic medicine in our discussion of the Magnetico sleep pad in the Preparation for MME and Nutritional Support section, and elsewhere on this site.

The Abstracts and Publications section describes the experience of Dr. Bonlie and the 1st three American centers in the treatment of Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy, Neurodegenerative disease states, and Parkinson's disease.  As more US centers come on line, we expect additional patient series abstracts to be presented.  A multicenter, randomized, sham-MME controlled study of MME in diabetic neuropathy is scheduled to begin in the spring of '05, and we are excited to participate in this protocol.

You need to understand our policies if you wish to receive MME at our facility, and they are discussed in the Policies of AMRI and Frequently Asked Questions sections.  You also need to understand that MME is not FDA approved.  We are providing MME under the auspices of an IRB (Institutional Review Board); as such your insurer will not cover the cost of your MME treatment.  We also want you to understand my approach to health care.  If you want a physician that thinks both inside and outside the box, who tries to combine the best of orthodox and complementary medicine to achieve optimum patient outcomes, then I'm your man.  If you think that disease is due to drug deficiency and that drugs and surgery are the only answers, then I'm not the right doctor for you.

If you have recurrent or inoperable coronary artery disease, then you might also benefit from EECP, a treatment modality that we have been using successfully since 1997.  Clicking of EECP Home Page will take you to our EECP site, which is formatted similarly to this site.

Preparation and Nutritional Support covers ancillary measures designed to optimize your response to MME.  With MME we are generating the growth of new cells, which will be composed of the molecules that you take in.  We want these new cells to be healthy, so obviously we want you on a healthy diet and an adequate program of nutritional supplementation.  Looking through this information won't hurt you a bit even if you are not interested in undergoing MME treatment.

Every fall and spring we give a lecture series; the schedule is posted on the corresponding page of this site.  The Contacting Us section gives you the appropriate phone numbers and our address.  We hope that this site gives you the information that you need.

AMRI of NW Ohio provides MME treatment under the guidelines of an Investigational Review Board, consistent with FDA regulations.

Please note that MME treatment is considered to be experimental by the FDA. Although many patients have improved, no guarantee of success is implied.
