Laser Energetic Detoxification (LED)

Patient Informed Consent

Laser Energetic Detoxification (LED) was first developed in 2001. As provided at Comprehensive Heart Care in 2007, LED therapy draws upon principles of Homeopathy, Acupuncture, Quantum Physics, and standard Biochemical and Nutritional Detoxification. LED will not replace, but rather will add to, our current best practices. Dr. Roberts learned about LED from another Cardiologist, Dr. Lee Cowden, at a meeting in the fall of 2006. Dr. Roberts and his staff have been carrying out LED for almost one year and are proficient in this therapy.

In LED, an initial Asyra evaluation is carried out. The Asyra is a FDA registered EAV (Electro Acupuncture according to Voll) device that non-invasively, and at no risk to you, screens for energetic imbalances that reflect imbalances in your physiology and/or the presence of toxicity. The Asyra provides a list of therapies that could “balance” the energetic imbalances detected, and can imprint “balancing” homeopathic frequencies into a liquid carrier medium.

Dr. Roberts or a trained staff member will review the Asyra findings and determine which toxins should be addressed and in what order. While conventional liquid homeopathic treatments are taken sublingually or topically, in LED the frequencies are directed into the body’s meridian network along the path of a laser beam (similar to a laser pointer).

The patient, wearing light, preferably cotton clothing, with their shoes, socks, metal items and battery powered objects off, will be “painted” with a laser beam carrying the selected homeopathic frequencies. The laser beam is felt to carry the applied frequencies into the meridian system via accupoints (paths of least resistance) on the surface of the body.

A typical session involves “painting” the patient with three vials of imprinted frequencies:

1^st with detoxification assist frequencies determined from the Asyra evaluation.
2^nd with frequencies designed to liberate the selected toxin from you cells
3^rd with frequencies directing the above frequencies to specific internal sites.
4^th depending upon your Asyra evaluation, the toxin frequencies may be applied to specific body sites with the Photon Pulser device (similar to the LED laser device).

As with other detoxification therapies that we employ, patient preparation and post-detoxification measures will go a long way towards ensuring success of a LED detoxification and a low risk for a post-LED detox reaction. Your cooperation here is appreciated, and is really critical. If you do not feel that you can follow the LED instructions or take the adjunctive nutritional/pharmacological detoxification support, then LED is not the right approach for you.

While LED is non-invasive, and itself does not involve the administration of chemical substances, it’s potential to detoxify should not be underestimated. LED has the power to mobilize toxic agents from one place in the body where they are causing only mild harm (i.e. fat stores), to organs where they can cause much harm. For this reason, we ask you to follow our pre and post-LED recommendations; they are designed to ensure LED efficacy and safety. Even with your total cooperation, there is still the possibility of a detox reaction (chills, asthmatic, or allergic reaction, etc.), and thus LED will be carried out during office hours (the exception here are MME patients who are treated at night).

LED does not “take” each and every time it is applied. LED for a specific condition may need to be repeated or combined with application of the photon pulser (a similar laser-like instrument that carries the homeopathic signal deeper into the body). Various conditions or post-LED exposures can “cancel out” the effects of a given LED, such that the LED will need to be repeated. It is expected that LED for food and other allergens will need to be provided twice.

LED may be combined with other detoxification measures, such as chemical chelation therapy, Body Cleanse Ionator treatments, or MME, in an order determined by Dr. Roberts.

LED itself is not a FDA approved treatment. Your insurer will not cover its cost, which will be your responsibility. The charges for LED are listed on the Energy Medicine Cost Sheet. Most patients will need 5-10 sessions to clear major toxins and perhaps 10 more to clear minor conditions. The cost of detoxification support supplements or pharmacologic treatments will be separate, again not covered by your insurer.

I understand that LED is not FDA approved and carries some potential for detoxification side-effects. I understand that my insurer will not cover the cost of LED, and I agree to pay for my LED treatments at the time they are provided. I have been given the opportunity to ask questions and have decided to proceed with LED.
