Muscle Weakness due to Stroke
  
 Experimental Therapy for Muscle Strength Recovery

FRAS – The Functional Recovery After Stroke Study

Over a three month period, FRAS participants will receive:

· Six IV treatments containing an experimental nutritional therapy or inactive placebo
 · Undergo periodic evaluation of muscle strength and functional status
                              
  Individuals participating in FRAS will have:

· Stable, one-sided muscle weakness, 3 months to 4 years out from a stroke
 · Be healthy enough to come to the office for treatment and follow-up
 · Be free of other conditions that cause muscle weakness
 · Be able to communicate verbally with the study staff
