Ionator Body Cleanse

    The Ionator Body Cleanse device is presented in greater detail on it's manufacturers website (www.asyra.com), which includes third party efficacy validation.  You can think of the Ionator as a "reverse electroplating" detoxification device.  Your feet rest in a tub of warm salt water, in which we place the Ionator electrode.  A brief Asyra-like evaluation is carried out to determine the settings appropriate for your treatment on that day.  My understanding is that the Ionator electrode emits an energetic current that ionizes the footbath water.  The ionizing field then enters your body where it breaks ionic bonds between toxic molecules and the normal molecules of your body.  A toxic goop (how's that for a medical term) is released into the foot bath water over your 30-60 minute treatment.  My feeling is that the Ionator Body Cleanse is an effective, non-specific (as apposed to LED which is specific) approach to hydrocarbon toxicity.  the Ionator may or may not be helpful in metal detoxification (but here we can treat you with metal chelation and LED).  The Ionator has been well received by my patients.  I have observed it to be particularly helpful in gout and in patients with heart failure on the basis of cardiomyopathy.  If you doubt that detoxification can be achieved with this methodology, please look at the information on asyra.com or scan the pictures below from our practice.  We also offer the Platinum Foot Bath.  Patients prefer this approach over the Ionator.  For both devices, we might ask -
